Welcome to Reasonably Fancy

After many years of traveling the world, it is time to start sharing reviews of hotels, airlines and restaurants that I am not finding elsewhere.

After attempting to start a travel blog website using WordPress - which required significantly more effort than I imagined - I have decided my internet skills are lacking to launch my own website right this minute…so here we are on Substack!

I am going to experiment over the coming weeks with posts about recent travels - starting with a trip to France, Spain and Portugal. I also will share reviews and resources for frequent travelers on niche but reasonably fancy topics (see what I did there?!). These will include restaurant reviews of places I have eaten at while travelling and experiences booking various forms of travel (e.g. “VIP” airport transfers from Paris CDG to your five star hotel). Travel in 2023, the year of our Lord, can be stressful, but I hope to show that it can be memorable and fancy with some tips and planning.

According to TikTok, gatekeeping is very uncool and I am here to help people be reasonably fancy (and cool!) when they travel. I hope this Substack becomes a useful resource for those traveling in the United States, Europe and Asia - my three primary destinations for travel.
